AI writes job ads, or decides who sees them
Depends on the useDeployer
HR uses a chat assistant to write job advertisements, and a recruiting platform that uses AI to show the ads to selected people.
How we classify it
- Writing the text of a job ad with a chat assistant is ordinary drafting: minimal risk.
- Annex III point 4(a) lists AI systems intended to place targeted job advertisements: using AI to decide which individuals see a job ad is high-risk.
- Result: two different uses. The drafting is minimal risk; the targeting is high-risk, with deployer duties from 2 December 2027.
What applies now
- Check the ad text for discriminatory wording (equal treatment law applies now)
- Find out whether your recruiting platform targets ads with AI and on what criteria
- Register both uses separately
What would change the answer
- From 2 December 2027: the high-risk deployer duties apply to the targeting

- Classification records
- Vendor information on targeting
